The wood of choice for ski lodge decks, marina docks, and landscape walks, treated lumber offers distinct advantages over other traditional outdoor materials, it may be stained or painted (or left natural), and it's milled from a renewable resource: plantation grown southern pine. Uwharrie Chair Company uses heavy, one inch thick premium grade lumber kiln dried after it has been treated that has a limited lifetime warrantee against rot, insect infestation and water damage. As the pine ages naturally, you should expect to see some additional loss of paint and some surface cracking. But even as nature matures your furniture, the wood and the product will remain structurally sound for years to come.

Premium Uwharrie Polymer
Uwharrie Chair Outdoor furniture crafted of Premium Uwharrie Polymer, a stable, recycled pre-consumer vinyl. Uwharrie Chair Company uses heavy, one inch thick lumber milled from high density poly vinyl chloride. Premium Uwharrie Polymer offers distinct advantages over other synthetic woods, it may be painted in Uwharrie Chair Company's 28 colors and is created through a free foam process which prohibits mushrooming of the lumber when secured with screws. Like all Uwharrie Chair Company products, it's perfect for outdoor use with a limited lifetime warrantee against splitting, rotting, decaying, chipping, water damage and insect infestation.

The wood used in Uwharrie Chairs requires no additional protection from exposure to weather. This is why it's possible to distress the finish, giving the the appearance of time-worn antiques.
